Do I need a will for my Dubai property as a non-Muslim expat?
Strongly recommended. Without a registered will, a deceased non-Muslim's UAE assets can default to Sharia succession rules, and property and accounts may be frozen during a lengthy process. Registering a DIFC Wills Service Centre will (or the Abu Dhabi equivalent) lets you direct your UAE property to chosen heirs. It is a low-cost step that prevents major family complications.
