No. The UAE has no inheritance tax and no gift tax. On death, heirs pay the DLD transfer fee (around 4% of property value) to re-register the title. Estates default to Sharia distribution, but non-Muslims can register a DIFC or Abu Dhabi will for full testamentary freedom over UAE assets (Federal Decree-Law 41/2022). Register a will to control who inherits your property.
