What is snagging and why do I need it?

Snagging is a detailed pre-handover inspection to find construction defects before you sign the handover certificate. Inspectors check finishes, doors, joinery, plumbing, electrics, HVAC and safety systems, logging every fault in a snag list sent to the developer to fix. It's your leverage to force free rectification while the developer is still legally responsible.
