Developer payment plan or bank mortgage - which is better?
Developer payment plans (e.g. 80/20 or post-handover) are usually interest-free, need less cash upfront and are tied to construction milestones held in DLD escrow - ideal during the build. Bank mortgages charge interest but spread cost over up to 25 years with smaller monthly payments, suiting ready homes and long-term holds. Many buyers use the developer plan first, then take a mortgage at handover.
