What is the debt burden ratio (DBR) in the UAE?

DBR is the share of your gross monthly income taken up by all debt repayments - mortgage, car loan, personal loans and credit-card minimums. The Central Bank caps it at 50%, so total monthly commitments can't exceed half your income. It's the main limit on how much you can borrow; clearing other debts before applying raises your ceiling.
