What is the fee for paying off my mortgage early in the UAE?

The Central Bank caps the early-settlement fee at 1% of the outstanding balance or AED 10,000 - whichever is lower - whether you repay in full, part-prepay or refinance to another bank (2019 rule). Some banks also allow limited penalty-free partial prepayment each year, so check your contract. You'll separately pay DLD mortgage-discharge and registration fees.
