What is Ejari and who pays to register it?

Ejari ('my rent') is RERA's mandatory system that registers your tenancy contract so it's legally recognised - you need it for DEWA, visas and disputes. Register via the Dubai REST app (instant certificate) or a typing/trustee centre. It costs roughly AED 220 at a trustee centre, more online. The landlord is technically responsible, but tenants usually pay and complete it.
