Do I need the building or developer's NOC to run a holiday home?

Usually yes. Most DET applications require a No Objection Certificate from the building or community management confirming short-term letting is allowed. Some developers and owners' associations restrict or ban holiday-home use in their towers, so confirm before buying or listing. Without the building NOC (and, if you rent, the landlord's NOC), DET will not issue the permit.
