What is the 2-year property investor (Taskeen) visa and what changed in 2026?

The two-year property investor visa (Taskeen) is a renewable UAE residence permit for property owners. In April 2026 Dubai's DLD scrapped the old AED 750,000 minimum value: any sole owner of a completed residential unit can now self-sponsor regardless of price. Joint owners still need an individual share of at least AED 400,000.
