A bounced cheque is now treated as an 'executive deed'. Instead of a full civil trial, the holder can take the returned cheque and the bank's return memo straight to the Execution Court to start recovery. The court can freeze bank accounts, seize and auction assets, and impose travel bans on the debtor until the debt is paid.
